Vietnam Thoughts

Vietnam is an amazing and wonderful country.  We loved our time there and wished we could have stayed longer in the more remote and quaint places - including Ha Long Bay, Hoi An and the Mekong Delta.  There was so much to see and experience.  Around Hoi An is Hue, the original capital, with much history and country to explore.  That will have to happen when we return!

The Vietnamese people are gracious and lovely.  There is no animosity to Americans.  We were a passing problem with no longer term effect.  The Chinese are considered their greatest, and longest term, enemy.

This is clearly a developing country with much room to grow.  The roads aren't great, systems meager or non-existent, but food is plentiful, fresh and delivered with a smile. Education is important and most children receive an education, despite the cost (it is free for elementary students, but paid after 6th grade).

A country on the move!  Very clean and you can tell people care about their environment and how they are perceived.
